Smart. Almost makes me want to start taking pills.

So sad that this season is over. I just hope it makes it for a full third season.

Interesting idea. I wasn’t all that impressed with Gmail’s spam blocking features, but you know even if it just gets the obvious stuff that’s not a bad deal. And mail is backed up… Hmm.

O’Reilly weblog on new tech trends. Looks neat.

Pretty neat tutorial that makes me want to buy a Dremel tool just to say I have one (and for the 10,001 uses!)

Perhaps the most trife Wired News article I have ever read. One could make this comparison between any two companies: they both have ideas!!!

Google Personal History is a pretty cool new feature where you can opt to save your personal search history. It’s the first Google web search service that requires a log-in (you can use another Google one, like from Gmail). My only beef is the search levels for the color coded calendar don’t look high enough for high-end users (the high end level is only 21+).
Of course, right on queue, the privacy goons are pissed:
"It’s really a bad idea," said [Pam] Dixon, executive director of the World
Privacy Forum. "If you need to keep track of your past searches, I
recommend using a notebook. It would be a lot more private and a lot
less risky."
Don’t go rush out and buy stock in Mead, stick to GOOG.
How long before a tag cloud gets hacked into this?

This deal really surprised me in the first place… Good to hear insiders speak on it.

BusinessWeek is the biggest iTunes Phone hater around, weird article
I’ve started using del.icio.us again (I have before, but it’s been a while and the service has improved). Links from each day will be automagically dumped to this page. Don’t be scared.
I’m a big fan of my success Booq 15" PowerSleeve. My only problem was the stiching on the shoulder pad started to come out. It wasn’t that big of a deal, but over the months it got worse. Because getting stuff like this fixed is usually a huge pain, I let it go longer than I should have. I emailed Booq this afternoon and within 45 minutes I got a reply back asking for a JPEG of the damage for their records and my address. This is wonderful. From the photos on the site it appears they have changed the design of this part to add more padding (and hopefully stronger stiching).
I’m currently looking for a case than can hold my laptop, Optura 60 and a digital camera (DSLR sized). Hopefully another Booq can fit the bill!
I paid the man (for more than I paid for my car actually, that’s sad). But let’s just hope I paid the right amount, this screenshot from TurboTax really didn’t give me a lot of faith.
About time, but now I can speed through tolls thanks to my SunPass. It would be nice if there was a national system, but I only travel one toll road frequently so it’s not too big a loss. Interestingly enough there was an "RF Shield" bag in the packaging, it looks like the foil bags that RAM comes in. I suppose that’s what you use if you don’t want to use it for a toll?
Neat information on how the system works is located here.
If you’re like me and wait until the lastest time possible (if you have to pay, why pay early?) to file your tax return, make sure to use free file. If your return is simple, you can use an online service for free. I used TurboTax and it worked like a champ. If you go right to the TurboTax site, the service I used will cost you, so make sure to use the link on the free file page.
(I haven’t e-filed in the past because I didn’t think it was right to pay for the IRS to save money. Now that it’s free I’m all about it.)
