Apple Stores are starting to block MySpace. I have taken advantage of Apple’s in store access for a number of years (even used it to do live keynote coverage), but I could see how MySpace would get annoying. Especially with speakers tuned up.

The University of California has 50 of Apple’s 30″ Cinema screens hooked up to 25 G5 towers to aide its scientists. The displays are all hooked together to make up a 200 megapixel image. That’s a cool 25,600 x 8,000 pixels. I want one!.

MySpace had 28.8 billion page views in March. That’s 411 page views per registered user. But it sells ads for less than a dime CPM because they can’t fill inventory. Not even contextual text ad services (AdSense, YPN, etc) can keep up with the volume.

I had no idea this was possible, but with some fancy JavaScript you can make tabs work in text areas. Would be most useful in a CMS template editing interface.
FedEx has great phone support
I had trouble with a package delievery (the unit number was left off) so I needed to call FedEx to straighten in out. I was amazed to find that on their website they post the phone tree. No need to wait through all the options. Some sites do this on their own, to help you beat the system, but FedEx just gives it to you up front. Kudos.

Pretty neat startup using the internet to rent high-end lenses for SLRs. Nikon lenses are coming soon, Canon ones are already up. Really decent prices. [via Scott]
All wireless
As I’m fitting my new place out it’s becoming more and more wireless. Case in point: I have two Airport Express units to handle wireless music (via these great speakers) and printing respectively. I am using a Bluetooth keyboard right now and a Bluetooth mouse is on the way. I use a wireless phone exclusively. If there was only some way to keep the laptop charged wirelessly I wouldn’t need a single wire on my desk.
