Mobile Mapping
Some mapping software for Series 60 mobile phones from MDM was sent out to the house for review, and I am overall quite impressed. It comes on a 32MB MMC card, which has enough space to load up 5-10 metro areas (Tampa/St. Pete is a biggy at 5MB, most are 1-3MB). It’s called Directions on the Go and I will have a full review up at MobileTracker in the near future.
Before I post it I’ll see if it’s hackable–can I put it on a bigger MMC card to have extra space for more maps/other applications to run on the phone. While it’s nice to have the space of an MMC, it’s not cool to have several that you use.
